Habits are great to have unless they start affecting your life in a determinantal way. Good habits that keep us going are waking up in the morning usually followed by going to the bathroom. This is a habit as it an automatic subconscious behavior we do without even thinking about it. When it comes to our many habits that make us who we are and why we do what we do hypnotherapy and other modalities I know of are excellent to treat any habit. When taking away one habit such as smoking, a replacement is needed to counteract the old pattern to stop smoking. Some examples of a replacement behavior in the case of a smoker is to walk, chew gum and or drink ice water through a straw. Many common habits include: smoking, nail biting, running late, and more. You can learn new habits as we all are learning something new everyday. It can take up to 21 days to make a new habit.
