Hypnosis is like air. We can’t see it. We know it’s there every time we breathe. Whether or not you believe in hypnosis it does happen every time you close your eyes to blink or about 30min prior to sleep. It’s a completely natural state we all experience in order to sleep. With that said it’s not sleeping either. It’s the state of your mind being between the awake and sleep state. This makes you open to suggestions whether they are good or bad. With a hypnotist or hypnotherapist these suggestions are positive to help meet your goals you want accomplished in life.
Have you ever drove for long distance and you don’t remember how you got there? You just know you did. That was highway hypnosis. Your subconscious part of your brain took over and drove for you. Ever been in an accident or close to one where you suddenly just stopped? That was hypnosis as well as your body works on dealing with shock to the system to calm you down quickly as possible to keep vital organs going.
Have you ever watched a movie? Have you cried or felt happy during the movie? This is all part of being hypnotized as well. The movie evoked emotions you have had at one time whether they were good or bad. Those emotions come back during that moment in those movies from prior experience you have had in life. This is why you cry or feel joy during the movie. Example is you watch the movie Titanic and it’s the scene where Jack is in the water after the ship sank and Rose is on the board staying safe. She realizes Jack is dead. You start to cry as you have experienced this at some point in your life losing a loved one. This is hypnosis experienced during a movie.
